Groundhog Day Festival aka Day Drink and Ridiculousness

Mother’s Brewing Co. is hosting the first ever Groundhog Day festival in the Ozarks on February 2, 2023.

Gates open at 7:00 am to catch the sunrise and the emergence of the Groundhog from his lair under Mother’s Backyard. This festival is a day filled with ridiculous antics celebrating that winter is now half over.

Mother’s is inviting the community to come have a beer and indulge in breakfast from The Almighty Sando Shop food truck, as we watch the Groundhog hunt for his shadow at 7:13 am.

We are excited to celebrate this traditional holiday as a community. There will be hourly antics from your very own Mother’s staff.

The brewery has prepared two specialty firkins of beer: one themed for 6 more weeks of Winter and the other themed for an early Spring. The Lunar Lunchbox will be serving lunch to curb your lunch break appetite.

Mother’s is encouraging the community to stop by before or after your job or work from the brewery using their free WiFi or even take the day off (put in your Paid Time Off requests before the rollover expires). Mother’s has given its production and administrative team the day off to celebrate alongside the community.

Since 2011, Mother’s Brewing Company has been brewing love and craft beer in downtown Springfield, Missouri. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ in 1993.
