M.S.U. Ice Bears vs Drury University Panthers

The Missouri State University Ice Bears will be facing off vs. the Drury University Panthers in the historic first two collegiate hockey games being played between Missouri State University and Drury University.
The games are scheduled for this coming weekend at Jordan Valley Ice Park on Friday, January 13th at 7:00pm and Saturday, January 14th at 6:00pm.
The Missouri State University Ice Bears will be facing a Drury University Panthers team playing in their inaugural season. The teams are members of the national American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The Ice Bears play at the ACHA Div. 3 level and are members of the Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) league and the Panthers play at the ACHA Div. 2 level and are playing this season as an Independent team.
The Ice Bears come into the games with a 22/23 season record of 19 W, 2 L and 1 T and are ranked #4 in the ACHA Men’s Div. 3 national rankings . The Panthers enter the games with a 22/23 season record of 3 W, 12 L. The Ice Bears are lead by Head Coach Cody Blevins and the Panthers are lead by Head Coach Ben Kenyon.
Springfield Mayor Ken McClure will be in attendance at the historic first game between the two Springfield collegiate hockey teams on Friday night participating in the pre-game “Ceremonial Puck Drop” just prior to the start of the game. Missouri State University will be serving as “Host / Home” team for these first two games between the teams.
“We are looking forward to playing these first two games between our Ice Bears and the Panthers,” stated Missouri State Hockey Club General Manager Ryan Armstrong. “The games will be the first of more games between our teams to come in future seasons and will for sure become another great “rivalry” series of games in Springfield and SW Missouri sports,” Armstrong said.
Tickets for the games are $5.00 each and will be available at the door at Jordan Valley Ice Park on game nights. All JVIP grandstand seating and JVIP ice level seating/standing room tickets are General Admission.
The games will also be aired live on WebSportsRadio.com with Ice Bears broadcaster Steve Casson doing play by play of the games.
The Missouri State University Ice Bears ACHA Div. 1 team will be on the road in the St. Louis area this weekend taking on the Maryville University Saints at the Maryville University Ice Hockey Center Arena in Chesterfield, MO. The Ice Bears vs. Saints January 13th Friday night game is a 7:15pm start and the January 14th Saturday game will face off at 2:15pm.
