Musical Offerings Series

First & Calvary Presbyterian Church announced the return of the Musical Offerings Series for the 2023-24 Season. This chamber music series features local and international artists performing free concerts in the Sanctuary and North Atrium of First & Calvary.
Opera superstar (and Ozarks native) Michael Spyres will join his wife, the renowned coloratura soprano Tara Stafford-
Spyres, in giving the opening recital on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Accompanied by Dr. Jim Davidson on First & Calvary’s 61-rank sanctuary pipe organ, the program will feature sacred works for voice and organ from the realms of opera, oratorio, and art song. Subsequent series concerts will include choirs, instrumental soloists, ensembles, and an organ recitalist co-sponsored by the Missouri State University Department of Music and the Springfield Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
