MO Better Foundation (www.mobetter.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping make the lives of Missouri kids and adults living with physical disabilities “more better” is teaming with Missouri State University’s Department of Occupational therapy (OT) and Hold Fast Brewing to present a “MO Better” Assistive Technology Awareness and Resource Day.

This informative and fun event — which is free to attend — will take place from 1-5 p.m. THIS SAT. SEPT. 9 at Hold Fast Brewing (located downtown at old Fire Station #1).

TechMOFest hopes to build awareness of the many resources in the Springfield area to help those living with disabilities live life “more better.”

Celebrate, meet local healthcare representatives, vendors and organizations and learn more about advanced technology and recreational equipment in a family-friendly setting.

The event will showcase many local and regional resource providers of assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication devices, adaptive recreational and entertainment devices, and much more. And, to make it “more better”, it will also feature live music by Rod Phillips, a food truck, craft beer, raffles and lots of fun activities for all ages. Hold Fast Brewing is donating a portion of proceeds from its select beer to MO Better Foundation.

Founded in 2017, MO Better Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that helps enhance the quality of life of Missourians with physical disabilities. With the support of a caring community, we provide funds to aid in purchasing items to assist in daily living – particularly items related to technology, transportation and mobility. MO Better provides help when no other funding source is available, or when other funding sources are not adequate to cover the costs of the needed assistive technology or access modifications.
