Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting death on Friday, Sept. 16, of a 52-year-old Springfield man.

Charles Tart was shot to death, according to Springfield police. His body was found at 10:13 a.m. inside a vehicle in the alley of the 1800 block of North Lyon Avenue.

Robert S. Parmley Jr., 40, of Springfield, is a suspect, according to police.

Parmley left the scene, according to police, in a silver 2006 Ford Expedition with a license plate of MO TJ2G1L.  

His location is unknown and police say he is armed and dangerous.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the shooting or where Parmley might be to call police at 417-864-1810 or to make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
