A Springfield man was sentenced in federal court for his role in distributing heroin in the region between July 2015 and March 2018.
Charles A. Robinson, 41, received an 11-year, eight-month sentence after pleading guilty in December to participating in a conspiracy to distribute at least a kilogram of heroin in Cole, Callaway and Greene counties. In U.S. District Court, Robinson admitted to bringing heroin from St. Louis to Springfield, where it was distributed to others who have been arrested and sentenced as part of the investigation.
Robinson is the seventh and final defendant to be sentenced in the case, which was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Springfield Police Department and the Jefferson City Police Department.
