A suspect in a May 28 Springfield murder was arrested Monday, June 6, in Cedar City, Utah. He is being held in the Iron County Jail in Utah.
Jacob Hodgkins, 32, is accused of shooting and killing his wife Ada Hodgkins, 42, at 2652 S. Glenview Ave., near East Sunset Avenue and Highway 65.
Springfield police had responded to a shooting on the night of May 28. When officers arrived, they found that Ada Hodgkins had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital but died.
Springfield police named Jacob Hodgkins as a suspect. He was charged with murder in the second degree.
