On Jan. 27, Gov. Mike Parson announced three judicial appointments, including in the 31st Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Greene County.
Daniel Wichmer, the former Springfield city attorney and executive director of Legal Services of Southern Missouri, was appointed to fill the vacancy left by the now-retired Jason Brown.
As city attorney, Wichmer helped lead the 16-person Law Department in advising City Council, city departments and affiliated organizations.
Wichmer has also taught legal writing and law at Drury University and worked as a law clerk for the Missouri Supreme Court.
Wichmer studied political science at Truman State University and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri.
