On March 2, Mercy Hospital Springfield’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic will relocate to a new address at the medical system’s Smith Glynn Callaway building, according to a news release. The new address will be 3231 S. National Ave., Suite 150

“We chose that building because it’s home to multiple family medicine, internal medicine and pediatric practices,” Dr. Brad Wyrsch, president of Mercy Clinic Springfield Communities, said in a news release. “We know it may be more convenient for people to get their vaccine while they’re at a doctor’s appointment, so we’re moving the vaccines to where many of our patients are.”

The current clinic, located at 4520 S. National Ave., will close Feb. 24. Patients can schedule vaccine appointments online at mercy.net/movaccine, by calling 417-820-2540 or by walking in during hours of operation. Patients younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

“Remember, if you got your last shot at the end of August, it’s time to think about a booster dose,” Wyrsch said in the news release. “We all want to reach the end of this pandemic, and vaccines are our best tool.”
