Carolyn Louise Mulcahy, 82 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023.
Carolyn met and married William “Bill” Mulcahy, and together they shared 35 years of marriage. She loved her husband’s children, David (Susan) and Gary Mulcahy; and her grandchildren, Aiden and Jilina, who are now finishing high school. Carolyn chose to play the bassoon when she was ten years old up until she retired. She volunteered at Alton Civic Orchestra and Webster Civic Orchestra for many years. Carolyn played bassoon professionally with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra occasionally. She taught high school psychology at Normandy Senior High School.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m., Noon, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Republic, Missouri.
Her care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
