Catherine Elaine Wright, age 63 of Springfield, passed on June 28, 2022.
Catherine graduated Central High School in 1977. She attended Burge School of Nursing and Drury College. Catherine enjoyed playing softball, piano, and violin as a young adult and was an avid NFL fan. She enjoyed adult coloring books and was a whiz at games, especially word games. Her smile, wit, and loving personality touched all who knew her.
Her survivors include Michael Poplawski, life partner; sons, Adam Wright and partner, Katrina Scott; son, Aaron Wright and wife, Denise; grandsons, Ethan, Charley, and Duncan Wright; and granddaughters, Nataly, Madalyn, Gwendalyn, and Samantha Wright; two sisters, Leona Freelove-Lane and Jean Ann Freelove-Needham. She has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her.
At her request, there will be no formal services.
Her care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
