Dorothy Jean “Jeanie” Lile, 79 of Springfield, departed this life on August 18, 2023.
Jeanie had a career in banking in Springfield, but she had an adventurous spirit — once even took a group of Boy Scouts on a raft trip down the Snake River! Jeanie loved the snow, the Rocky Mountains, and anything outdoors — but Jeanie loved God, her family, and her friends more.
Jeanie is survived by her daughter Jennie and her husband Mike, five grandchildren, Maiha, Gracie, Mollie, Remi and Tyler; one great-grandchild, Landyn; four siblings Orville, Sue, James David and his wife Jan and Brenda; her dear friends Fred and Brenda Lawson; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her church family.
Visitation will be held from 6-7pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:00pm.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Prospect Cemetery, 12215 W. Farm Road 128 in Bois D’Arc, Missouri, with Fr. Pompeyo Tan officiating.
