Helen Marie Todd, 102 of Springfield, passed away on March 24, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri.
Helen married the love of her life Harold Todd on March 2, 1946. To this union were born three children: John M. Todd, Peter F. Todd, and Melissa A. (Todd) Beresky. After high school, she went on to study at Emporia Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. She was also involved with Willow Springs Presbyterian Church and the organization, Newborns In Need.
Helen is survived by her children: Mike Todd and his wife, Kim Todd of San Clemente, California, Peter Todd and his wife, Cathy Todd of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Melissa Beresky and her husband, Ted Beresky of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Michael Todd, Shannon Hansen, Jeff Beresky, David Beresky, Thomas Beresky, Danny Jordan, Jessica Todd, Kerry Todd, and Holly Todd; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local food bank or any no-kill animal shelter.
Helen will be laid to rest at National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, with a graveside memorial service to be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
