Rev. Richard Bruce Cunningham, Jr., 66 of Springfield, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
While at Evangel, he met his wife, Janet Elaine Pugh. Rick and Jan served as pastors in Kansas for five years. In 1983, they were appointed as Assemblies of God missionaries. They first served for 12 years in Spain, where he opened multiple extensions of the national Bible school. In 1995, their family moved to Romania.
Rick is survived by his wife, Janet, and three sons: Richie, with his wife Maya and daughters May Elise, Rebecca, Eliana, and Chiara; Bobby, with his wife Jonae, and children Micah, Lilli, Selah, and Adelyn; and Jonathan, with his wife Stephanie and children Brantley, Makenzie, and Braelyn. He is also survived by one sister, Cynthia, with her husband, Joel Shigo.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 at the Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Grace Romanian Pentecostal Church on Highway WW, at 1:00.
Burial will follow at Richwood Cemetery, Nixa.
