Ruth Aline Lynch, 59 of Springfield, passed away on February 4, 2023.
Ruth will be remembered for her love of eclectic music, animals, bubbles and beautiful cloud formations. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and became a talented math tutor, able to help students raise their grades dramatically in a short amount of time. On October 7, 1992, Ruth gave birth to Olyvia Leigh Lynch, now Olyvia Hilburn.
Ruth is survived by her parents, Samuel and Sara Lynch, her brother, James Lynch, her sisters Kathy Hughes and Janet Gesme, and her daughter, Olyvia Hilburn.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
