
Sharon (Shari) Sue Walker, 76 of Springfield, passed away to be one with her “Papa,” on December 27, 2022.
Shari was born on January 18, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri, the first-born daughter of the late Roy and Hazel Smith. She graduated in 1964 from Glendale High School, Springfield Missouri. Along with her husband, Phil, she loved the Lord and spent many years with him fellowshipping and serving at local churches including Abundant Life and Turning Point.
Shari is survived by her husband of 57 years, Phil Walker; sister, Janis Goetz and her husband Jim Goetz; brother, Steve Smith and his wife, Donna Cartwright-Smith; son, Gavin Walker and his wife, Cassandra Walker; son, Bryan Walker and his wife, Shawna Walker; five grandchildren: Alexander, Nathan, Gideon, Caleb, and Brenden; four great-grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews; and so many wonderful friends she enjoyed.
A short Celebration of Life memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri. The memorial visitation will follow until 4:00 PM.
