Sidney “Sid” Lee Neely, 87 of Springfield, entered his heavenly home January 16, 2023 with his family by his side.
He joined the Springfield Police Department where he served his community for almost 36 years. Upon retiring, he worked security at City Utilities for 20 years.
Sid is survived by his wife Betty, daughters Susan Neely (Springfield), Karyn (Dennis) Highfill (Republic).
Visitation for Sid will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, in the funeral home with burial following at Eastlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the High Street Missions program.
