Eleanor “Jean” (Landers) Martin, 94 of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Licking, Missouri.
The City Utilities Transportation Department employed Jean in Springfield for 39 years. Jean married Elza Lee Martin on December 26, 1952. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. To this union they had one child, Lisa (Martin) Denbow.
Jean is survived by her daughter Lisa, five grandchildren (Bart, Stephanee, Ashlee & husband Chris, Alexee, Benjamin & wife Andrea), twelve great-grandchildren (Bryce, Rylee, Brody, Benton, Bryx, Fynlee, Crosbee, Zaree, Steviee, Elzee, Beckett and Brandon). She is also survived by many cherished nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM. Eleanor will be laid to rest at Clear Creek Cemetery, Greene County, Missouri, following the funeral service.
Her care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
