Phillip Bollinger, 61 of Springfield, passed away on July 2, 2022, from cancer.

He retired from The Developmental Center of the Ozarks on February 20, 2021, after 17 years of work. The DCO Staff was his “work family” and he loved his job there. Phillip was an athlete for A Sporting Chance and played softball and basketball. He loved fishing, cycling, watching Nascar, wrestling, Hot Rods and semi-Trucks. He loved family get-togethers and spent many hours pursuing his hobbies with his brother Steve. He fought a long battle with cancer and kept a positive outlook despite all the challenges.

He is survived by his mother: Donna Bollinger, his sister, Lucie Shultz (Gary), his brother Steve Bollinger (Connie) and his nieces and nephew: Becky Gempeler, Sara Roper and Geoff Bollinger.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Developmental Center of the Ozarks.
