Mary Downen McConnell, 82 of Nixa, passed away on November 17, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends.
She taught 7th and 8th grade English for 13 years in the Ozark School System, where she retired in 2001. She was active in Cassidy United Methodist Church and involved in numerous volunteer activities.
She is survived by two daughters, Kelly McConnell and husband Rob DeBolt of Olathe, Kansas and her two children, William and Avery; and Margo McConnell of Charlotte, North Carolina and her two children, Emma and Davis.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. During visitation, Pastor Steven Mitchell will give a prayer and eulogy.
Cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
