Phyllis Ann Porter, 77 of Ozark, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on September 19, 2023.
She was a member of Ozark Full Gospel Church in Ozark, Missouri. Phyllis was a part of RV Volunteers with her husband from 1998 to 2008 where she loved to help others by building churches in cities like West Monroe, Louisiana and Bethany, Missouri. She and her husband worked at Evangel University, replacing old windows in dorms before the school years began for eight summers.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Dale Edward Porter, son Dale Edward Porter Jr., daughter Cheryl Ann Stennett, married to Harry Stennett of Highlandville, Missouri, and three grandchildren (her “hunnies”) Bree Elizabeth Pawling, Brooke Riane Pawling, and Seth Edward Porter, her sister Belinda Jane Tyler, married to John Tyler of California, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 26 at Ozark Full Gospel Church. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
