Rosena Josephine Wieneke, 96 of Nixa, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 16, 2023.

She was united in marriage to Clell Wieneke on August 29, 1942 at Lancaster, Missouri. She and Clell served at several churches through her life, retiring after leading Calvary Baptist Church, Nixa for 13 years. She and Clell were active in New Testament Church Planting and traveled throughout the United States for 12 years.

Josephine is survived by all of her children Mary Jo Blevins and husband Kenneth of Highlandville, David Wieneke and wife JoAnne of McCune, Kansas, Dennis Wieneke and wife Peggy of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Philip Wieneke and wife Cathy of Nixa, Amos Wieneke and wife Sue of Brookville, Ohio, Laura Cervin and husband Lou of Newkirk, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; a brother, Roger Brooks of Floris, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church, Nixa followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Joe Decker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at McConnell Bledsoe Cemetery, Nixa.

Memorial donations can be made to South Campbell Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, where she was an active member for many years.
