The Beach Boys are slated to perform in Springfield later this year as Drury University celebrates its 150th anniversary.

The “America’s Band” tour will make a stop in Springfield on Nov. 4 at the O’Reilly Family Event Center.

The Beach Boys, a triple-platinum success and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, are led by founding member Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who “continue the legacy” alongside Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer.

From “Surfin’ USA” in 1963 to “Kokomo” in 1988, 37 of the band’s singles charted in the Billboard Top 40. The group’s California surf-inspired sound helped legitimize pop music in the United States and influenced countless other recording artists.

The concert comes amid Drury’s 150th anniversary during the 2023-2024 school year.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m.

Ha Ha Tonka, a band founded in West Plains, will be the opening act.
