Enjoy 175,000 festive lights bathing 7.5 acres of the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in Christmas spirit at the 4th Annual Gardens Aglow.
The botanical-themed light festival takes place inside Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 South Scenic. Presented by Friends of the Garden and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, it runs select dates from Nov. 25-Dec. 31, mostly Fridays-Sundays.
“Light features include RGB lights, light tunnels, firecracker lights, framed installations, water feature lights, up lighting and string lights,” a press release said. “Guests are invited to cozy up to a fire pit to enjoy hot beverages and treats from local vendors, with live music on select evenings. The garden’s accessible pathway includes about a half-mile walking trail. Wheelchairs may be available by request, on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12. Pre-purchased tickets are $5 and $2, respectively.
“Each Gardens Aglow ticket helps support dozens of gardens, programs and environmental improvements throughout the Springfield Botanical Gardens,” the press release said.
