Many thanks for shedding light on the funding issue for the arts in Missouri. This long-standing inequity should be corrected to strengthen the creative, problem-solving programs offered to Missourians.

Governor Mike Parson wants to give the arts in Missouri a significant financial boost with a suggested increase of $1.9 million to the annual budget. That’s no small chunk of change. But, according to state law, it’s only a fraction of what should be allocated.
