Springfield police identified the victim in a fatal shooting Saturday night in the 2400 block of S. Sheridan Boulevard.

According to a press release from the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to a victim with gunshot wounds around 10 p.m. It was reported that multiple shots were fired during an argument in the street.

Officers found Jacob Gatten, 33, from Springfield, lying on the street with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a Springfield hospital and later died.

Tanine Punyamra, 19, of Springfield, and a juvenile suspect were identified. Both were arrested. The case is being presented to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office and the Greene County Juvenile Office for review and a determination on filing criminal charges.
